Virtual Realms Studios LLC • Last updated September 19, 2026

Virtual Realms Studios LLC (“we”, “us”) makes DropWyrm VTT. This page explains what we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. This site is a pre-launch page: the only information we ask for is what you type into the waitlist form.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you join the waitlist, we collect what the form asks for:

  • Your name and email address (required)
  • Your role at the table, your favorite game system, and how you heard about us (optional)
  • Anything you write in the message box (optional)
  • Whether you opted in to the open beta

Information collected automatically

We do not run analytics, advertising or tracking scripts on this site, and we do not set cookies of our own. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting. Our anti-spam check also receives your IP address and a short-lived token so it can tell a person from a bot.

How we use it

  • To tell you when DropWyrm VTT launches, and to send occasional development updates
  • To invite you to the open beta, if you asked for that
  • To reply to you, if you wrote us a message
  • To understand, in aggregate, who is interested and which systems to support first
  • To keep the form free of spam and abuse

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising.

Who we share it with

We are a small studio and we rely on a few established services to run the site and the waitlist. They process your information only on our instructions:

  • Kit (kit.com): stores the waitlist and sends our email updates
  • Resend (resend.com): delivers the notification email that a signup generates
  • Cloudflare (cloudflare.com): provides the Turnstile anti-bot check on the form
  • Vercel (vercel.com): hosts the site and its server logs
  • Google Fonts: serves the fonts this page uses, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist entries until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until the waitlist has served its purpose and we retire it. Messages you send us are kept as long as we need them to deal with what you wrote about. Server logs are kept for a short period, as set by our hosting provider.

Your choices and rights

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and using it removes you from the list. You can also write to us at any time to:

  • Ask what we hold about you, or get a copy of it
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Have it deleted
  • Object to how we are using it, or ask us to limit that use

If you live somewhere like the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or California, you may have these rights by law. We honor them regardless of where you are, and we will not treat you differently for exercising them. Just email us at the address below.

Why we are allowed to do this

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent, given when you submit the waitlist form, for the list itself and our email updates; you may withdraw it at any time. We rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure website for the spam checks and server logs.

Where your information goes

We are based in Utah in the United States, and the services listed above process information in the United States and elsewhere. If you are outside the United States, submitting the form means your information is transferred there.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, the form is protected against automated abuse, and access to the waitlist is limited to the studio. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. That said, we do not collect anything sensitive here, and we never ask for payment details on this site.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us their details, write to us and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant and we have your email address, we will tell you directly.
